I prefer 5-7-5
there are many forms

Yes, I *hear* the flow
it’s like a babbling brook
Other times it loops

Yet still, some vanish
the ghost of that rhyme fades fast
& I’m left wanting

Dusting off rhythm
Sometimes feeling a scizum
Jarring to reason

Most nights it plays nice
Crafty or nifty even
Follow it I do

Minutes disappear
Hours begin to vanish
Insomnia’s fun
