Just that tiny bit can cause the eggs to develop too slow and/or cause the chicks to hatch a couple days late. Also the low temps could be just enough to get them to develop but not be enough to get them to grow to a viable state.

You don't have to wait until spring.

Give these a couple extra days and see what happens.

When it is all over and done sterelize your bator and clean it well.

Give yourself seveal days to get the temps to read 101.5 at the heigh where the tops of the eggs will sit.

You can even put a few small jars of warm water in there to act as a heat sink to help you get it right.

When you have it set - don't touch it! Cut off the hands and fingers of anyone who touches it! LOL

Add your new eggs.

Keep your eye on the temps. As the eggs develop and get closer to being live chicks the heat will rise and you may have to turn it back a tiny bit. Warm bodies create heat.

You can do it. Don't give up.

We are on day 23 of our third attempt, but we only tried 12 eggs at a time. The forst two attempts had serious temperature problems, as in going way to high! I finally got the temperature set at about 100 degrees F and we had 7 out of 14 hatch. We are using a Little Giant 40 watt still air incubator. Keep trying and maybe use fewer eggs till you get the disired results.

im using a water wiggler is that the same as using a jar of water?and also my incubator is in a locked spare room no one but me gets in there as i have the key around my neck.
well we shall see what the next few days bring....

No, a wiggler isn't the same as putting jars of water in. When your incubator isn't full it's harder for the temps to stay stable. The water filled containers act as fake eggs I guess you could say, to help keep temps stable.
