Nonstop Peeping, No Sleep?

I thought that chicks sleep ALOT. But I have 5 and they take turns peeping. It's really cute but I'm pretty sure that all the peeping means no sleeping. Why aren't they sleeping? They are only 1-2 weeks old!

Have you checked all the obvious things, like whether they are too hot or cold and for pasty butt? I have 4 chicks in an inside brooder and they don't make too much noise besides a soft little peep or chirp every now and then. However, when I was stilll trying to get the temp. in the brooder right they were very unhappy and made sure I knew all about it. Good luck!!!

My chicks usually peep when they want something and stop peeping and fall asleep when I hold them. good luck!

They are probably too cold. What is your brooder temp?
