Thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Sarah, I live in Iowa with my husband and two children (and two fat cats). We bought our first house this last fall and we are very excited about the prospect of keeping some laying hens, it's been a dream for a long time. So I'll be poking around and asking a lot of questions this year as we go through this new adventure. [IMG]

Welcome! Hope you find the perfect chickens. With children think about ordering chicks! They can bond better if handled when chicks.

Now, what part of Iowa are you in? Any idea what breed you are interested in? Are you in the country or in a city/town??

Warning: BYC is addictive, and SO ARE CHICKENS!!!

    Hugs and enjoy

Build a bigger coop than you think you'll ever need. Chickens are an addiction, and great for teaching kids all kinds of good values!
