Noob with pvc coop question

Last night I went out to look at what I had on hand as far as cut pieces and fittings.... and started putting something together... Will have to post pics soon I have it about 80% framed out with the existing PVC only need to make 2-3 cuts and get another 45 !! of course I have to do the wood work for the coop, but it was cool to see it come together without the plans and with out cutting anything

This place is full of helpful people and photos!

Thanks yall

i built a hoop coop with pvc and wood base. it wasn't inexpensive but is very sturdy. we also used hardware cloth on the whole thing and added a "skirt" of hardware cloth around the edges about 2 feet long. it has been in use for several months and we have had no predators. we found the basis for the plans on this site. we did modify a bit to our own specs.

I would definitely make a wood ase like suggested.

We made a PVC run that attached to our coop. One night I got home late and my mom and I decided it was raining and it should be fine to leave the coop door open just this one night.

Woke up and a storm had flipped the pvc right over and exposed the coop and my very favorite pullet was killed and 3 chicks were missing.

We made a 2x4 run that day! (Which we later coverted into a moveable coop)

I would love to see pics when you get a chance. The idea of building this way totally intrigues me. My property is not far from a mountain range and fairly often we get terrible winds through here. How sturdy do you think building this way is?
