i need to know terms because i seemed to have confused some things. what does "pip" mean? and what does it mean when u hear clicking and noises from in the egg?

oh. wow. im way off. uhm... what about the noise

a "pip" is the small hole made by the beak

a "zip" is the crack made after the pip, it's a long crack that splits the egg

a "peep" is the sound of new chicks, some peep still in the egg once, they get thier heads into the air cell, and get ready to break out.

the "tapping" noise is the chick pecking it's way thru the shell, sometimes it'll sounds like a scratching

The noises mean they are getting ready to hatch. The cheeping and tapping means they've broken through the air cell and are preparing to hatch in the next 24-48 hours. Make sure your humidity is up and the incubator is CLOSED and STAYS closed. I learned the importance of that the hard way by losing ducklings.

i think it be dead then. i havent hearsd it make noise since yetsreday. and the temp wnt down.
