Thanks! I'm waiting on the State vet to get back with the Necropsy results. She wasn't there yesterday. I know they're busy, since poultry production is one of the largest industry in this state. If she's not horribly busy, has the latest and greatest in PCR gear, and gets to my bird first, she could have results to review anywhere from about two to five hours. I don't expect her to be that fast, though. If she's got old equipment and not enough lab techs, who knows how long it could take.Hello fellow Newbie! Welcome. Just wanted to say that I love your descriptions of your chicks... Sounds like they have great personalities! Sorry you lost one already... Best wishes!!![]()
who knew when we got into this that we'd be poo inspectors? Thanks! I'm waiting on the State vet to get back with the Necropsy results. She wasn't there yesterday. Meanwhile, I'm going to keep treating these girls for coccidiosis since they are pooping relatively loosely. I have seen improvement in their poo quality over the last three days of treatment, and they seem to be in a relatively better mood, too. Though the latter is a purely subjective observation.
Dang. That almost sounded like I was talking about kids instead of a bunch of dumb birds.
Thanks for the update. Sorry for your lossUpdate regarding necropsy: Definitely Merrick's disease.
