Nope!

I hatch in my classroom and the kids like to know how each egg is doing so I number them just for the knowledge that oh Number 4 was infertile and Number 12 had a blood ring, etc. It is just for my info, nothing more.

Thanks for the info on the paper towels!

I just shared this link with my daughter's kindergarten teacher, you may find some of the images useful, but certainly not all of them as they are rather graphic for 5 year olds.
They are embryo development photos from the Purdue Research Institute and I posted them on my Facebook page and blog page this morning.

You should get one of the admins to make this a sticky!!!

Ooo, I'd like to be in! I'm in the UK though - can I still join? I've got 12 turkey eggs, five hubbard meatie chicken eggs and five mutts in my Eco 20. Due to hatch on 13 May. I've been telling everyone it's the 14th but I got a little muddled lol!

I'm considering ordering a Brinsea Octogon.

I've always used the styrofoam Hovabators, but have had trouble keeping humidity stable.

My house has forced hot air heating and the air in the house is usually dry but them suddenly gets "wet"

Has anyone used Hovabators and found Octogon to be more consistent in the humidity department??

I would like to join. I should have four hatches this month. I have another eco 20 in the mail right now. i will be hatching Jersey Giants, Araucanas, Bantam Crevecoeurs, Tomura longcrowers , Barred Rocks and some Brahmas. Phew... This will be a lot of chicks for me. still trying to get the staggering hatches down. I now write all my dates and lock-downs in my calendar. Good luck everyone!

I would also be intrested in the additonal Cutest chick contest. I know that my Lav Orps or W/BW chicks will be the cutest chicks ever. (proud Mom ) I am uesing my Eco 20

We have No AC in our 200 year old house and we have wood heat which dries everything. One day it will be 70% humidity in my house and the nest 30%. But it is always the same in my Brinsea Adavanced! I love, love, love my brinsea and I am on day 13 with one hatch and everyong is developing so well.
