Normal Behavior?

Hello!
I recently brought home a new hen and her chick- after several weeks they seem to be adjusting well. She has even started roosting in the same tree as one of the peacocks! My question is his behavior, however. I have noticed a couple of times early in the morning before they fly down he almost pecks at her as though he is annoyed she is in his tree. Is that normal? I’m hoping they can all get along and she doesn’t feel unwelcome.

I think that his attitude will change next spring when the hormones are high.

He is just establishing his dominance in the pecking order.
