normal droppings ?

Um, we probably need more information to let you know. Like, how long have they had loose droppings, has there been a change in diet, did you give them anything that promotes loose droppings like a lot of greens, are they exhibiting any other symptoms of distress or disease?

It really just depends. I have 6 week old Royal Palms, and they get loose, green droppings temporarily for about an hour every day after I give them a couple of heads of leaf lettuce or similar greens -- they just go wild for them and I'm pretty sure this is harmless -- they are growing like weeds, that's for sure. So this is the kind of situation where I wouldn't be concerned.

OTOH, if your birds have had loose droppings for several days with no change in diet or anything else I'd become suspicious that something is up, and if they were showing any other symptoms I'd definitely be concerned.

So, please let us know more details so we can collectively try and figure out what is going on.

He's my 9 wk old bronze that had runny yellow droppings last month. My vet ran two fecals- both clear. I treated him with Metronidazole, he perked right up, began eating again. 12 days later he began acting droopy again/ not eating. This time his droppings were watery and dark. He's on Duramycin now and is back to normal, eating well. His droppings have solidified alot since he's eating better but still not like the big solid masses my other two drop. No change in diet. They free range most of the day. The other two have been healthy, fat and sassy.
I thought I'd finish this course of medicine then wait a week and get another fecal on him.
I'm so tired of inspecting turkey poo. It become an obsession.

Some of my turkeys had occasional boughts of yellow runny foamy droppings. They didn't last long and cleared up on their own. Sometimes they would get itagain a few weeks later. I asked a local commercial turkey grower and his story was that coccidiosis is very common in this area (central Minnesota). He said that they can get it every couple of weeks and each time it happens it affects them less. He treats his birds, but I chose to let it run its course. Right now they all look good at 10 weeks.

But I haven't seen and dark watery droppings here.
