One of our pullets just laid her first egg on Saturday - a little oblong, but overall looked quite good. However, second egg has a coating and Google says calcium coating is possible. Diets are pretty standard. Does this look normal or problematic?
Actually, read some other posts and looks like this is probably just dried bloom! Would love confirmation but otherwise probably problem solved. Just newbie problems.
It doesn't look that weird to me but it's hard to tell from the picture what it looks like. And it's pretty normal for chickens to lay weird eggs when they first start laying.
