Ok...so. I just pick up this beautiful 7/8 month old Brahma rooster today. When we finally got him home and situated we noticed his poor feet.

The family we got him from were wonderful people but uneducated about chickens and how much space and attention they require. They had a very small tractor supply coop that probably should only house 2-3 hens never mind 3 large breed hens and this handsome feller.

He is walking fine, sctraching fine, and drinking and eating. I contacted the previous owner and asked him to send me pictures of the lady's he nested with. All 3 look great, no irritation.

I am curious to see if you think this is normal, scald or mites or something different all together. I truly appreciate your help.

Thank you!!

Give him a bath. It might help keep it from getting infected, then you can see the injury clearer, too. If you have a blowdrier, blow-dry him when done. They like that a lot.

Great idea! Ty. What are you thoughts as to what it could be?
