Normal for pullet to lay every day?

We had our first egg on Friday, and the same 6-month Barred Rock has continued laying every day since - Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining...I'm just wondering if I should expect her to take a break soon. She's like an egg-laying machine!

She'll take a break soon. My Barred Rocks usually lay almost everyday, but then I may only get an egg 5 or 6 days a week. Still pretty good. Barred Rocks are very good layers. I just love them.

chickens can lay an egg every 23 hours. They usually do too!

1st yr id expect an egg a day maybe a break or 2 every once in awhile

A few of my chickens have just started laying too, my White Rock was the first to go and she has been like clockwork so far - 4 days on, then 1 day off. I also have two Red Stars that haven't taken a break since they started laying - one has been going for 4 days, and the other for 9! They each lay at about the same time every day, too. If I'm home I can usually time my visits to the coop to catch the egg-laying action.

The only one I can't catch is the bad mystery chicken who lays her egg in the corner of the coop...

I have been really surprised by them so far - I didn't expect them to be so regular at first! Congrats and hope you're enjoying the first eggs as much as we are.
