Normal gosling behavior?

Is it possible she ingested something she shouldn't have while outside or have you used any pesticides etc lately? (Again with the cedar thing - some pesticides have a high concentration of cedar that are advertisted as all natural and safe, but could be dangerous for a gosling)

I've only used the brooder plate thing, but that sounds like it would be totally fine. Mine basically did not even use it after the first week though, even though it was available to them, they just didn't get cold. I'm sure you've already tried but just in case you could try removing her from the brooder to see if it stops?

I don't have chickens so not too familair with chicken dust.... I know that dust is not good for geese but as chickens and geese have very similar respiratory systems I would think that it would be okay? People seem to use DE on their feathers without a problem...

The white was in her poop or her mouth? If poop you're sure it isn't normal urates?

Yes shavings are pine. I did just check her mouth don’t see whit spots but while in there she pooped as usual but this time I did see a tiny bit of white so maybe it is a yeast infection? And I am just seeing it develop?
Any irritant I can think of is a few drops of dawn dish soap I’ve used when bathing her but has only been twice. I bought her on day 2 of her life and on car ride home noticed lice so as soon as I got home bathed her and never saw them again but did just bath her again 10 days later cuz I read about having to kill any eggs as well. So possibly that could have started the irritation originally but have not seen any since and now this dirty vent and her constantly pecking at her poor little vent yesterday and now today the head bobbing gulping air motion included. Poor little thing just want to help her get better ASAP.

Have not used any pesticides and the only thing I can think of she could have ingested would just be the pine shavings from her brooder. I’m afraid to remove her from brooder because then she’ll be alone and will no doubt cry. White was in her poop. What do normal heaters look like?

Normal urates not heaters (auto correct)

Her poop is really runny

I don't think the dish soap would cause it either I think that's pretty safe for them. I have used it a few times on my (adult) geese with no problems. Lice would totally make sense with the feather loss and irritated vent area but odd that it would continue. Is it possible they're there and you can't see them? Are you sure they were lice and not mites? I don't think lice feed on their blood but mites definitely do and will quickly cause anemia in a small gosling.

Let me see if I can find a pic but it's just like chicken poop where they have the fecal component (brown), uric acid (clear), and urates which is the white that is normally at the top.

Gosh I really wish I could help more. I hope your little cutie will be okay. Is taking her to the vet an option at all?

It’s crazy how quickly this is coming on, her poop did not have this white in it earlier today.

Pretty positive it was lice as opposed to mites, she is literally blowing small bubbles now as she drinks. I’ll have to call around to see if any vets will take her.
