Normal Mandarin and White Mandarin BOYS? Need help.

KansasKid-the chart is wonderful. I now think that the white is also a male.

Now I need 2 hens to go with these 2 boys I have. Do you happen to know of anywhere I could buy just hens? I have only found places that want to sell a pair. I loce these boys, they are very "flashy" but I do think they would like some friends.

Still boy. If what I know is correct the boys are the only ones with the hoods(though his is small), and the males are the only ones with the red bills. Females have gray bills.

He is still pretty though!

White mandarins of either sex have red bills. Female mandarins have crests too, not as large as the males but still there.

Wait two months and we'll know for sure.

Thanks, I probably wouldn't be able to find a hen by then anyway. Don't they begin laying in spring?​

Most keep spring broods until fall to sell juvenile pairs or singles. Around september it should be starting to get easy to find them.

Oh brother! Birds for sale in September, won't be positive till later than that. Ugh! Ok, I may plague you guys with pictures as the season progresses and see what you all think. Thanks again and they are really cool.
