Normal or not?

Today was day 20 for my broody hen and her eggs. I see two eggs have started to open. I heard chirps this afternoon. Now it's 9:30 p.m. and I don't hear chirps anymore. What do you think? Will they still hatch? Or did something go wrong?

I looked and don't see further signs of additional cracks but I'm about to go check again.

It can take a couple day's for chicks to hatch.They pip they peck then rest.Im sure they are just fine let Us know if ya get babie's.

They peep then rest, pip then rest, then pip some more and then rest, etc. Except I had one that peeped, pipped and zipped in 20 minutes!

Yes, this is our first hatch with a hen. We hatched 4 out of 6 eggs in an incubator a few years ago and wound up giving them back to the farm we had gotten them from as we didn't have a coop back then. This is different!

And here is the update…

We peeked under her this morning and lo and behold, there are 2 baby chicks from two of the green eggs this morning. One looks like an EE, and one is very tiny and yellow. She has 4 eggs still under her and one has a crack in it. I think she has 1 green left and 3 brown eggs left. YEAAAA Juliet! So far she seems to be a great mommy!
