Hello All!

My rooster, Ringo, is having what I call abnormal poop? He just started last week. Everyone else’s droppings look completely normal. He’s eating and drinking fine, comb is beautiful and red! Except for maybe some frostbite on the tips of his comb (because he refuses to get under the heater). His behavior is normal as well. Am I just being paranoid or does it look off?

All of the chickens are free range most of the time with options of kalmbach henhouse reserve and a grit/oyster shell mixture.

Side Note: Ever since this has started the coop smells spicy only two days after I cleaned it…Is that a sign of something? Thank you all!!

I have added pictures of the droppings under the swing/perch that he and the others were on earlier today.

Seem like he might have coccidiosis due to the bloody looking droppings. Treat the flock with corid for 5 days.

Sorry your are having problems!

There looks like a little blood or intestinal shed in the poop which could be from worms. How old is he? Have you ever seen any coccidiosis? The two best wormers are albendazole 0.5 ml orally, and repeat it in 10 days, or SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer 1/4 ml per pound for 5 days. Here is where to find albendazole (generic Valbazen:)
