Normal?

One of my buff orpington pullets is way behind the others with comb and wattle development. My other pullets all have bright red comb and wattles, even my other buff orp. This one has nothing to speak of. Is this normal at 20, almost 21 weeks? She is super skittish, so hard to get a picture of.

Hello! I also have buff orpingtons. 10 weeks old. 8 look like the one without the comb and waddle. 2 with the comb and waddle in your pictures. I was certain I had two Roos. But with what I have been reading and seeing on this site maybe I have all hens? (Hope you don't mind me tagging on with your question)

Maybe she’s a late bloomer, are you sure of their ages?

Just make sure that are getting the proper nutrients and lost of fresh water her day will come , it just happens sometimes

Don't mind at all. My buff orp that has the comb and wattles got hers at 18 weeks, but they were coming in since about 15 weeks.

If anything, she is older. We got them at Tractor Supply, and they had just come in and were 2 to 4 days old, so within days of each other. She was the biggest one of the group. She always has fresh water, and they all get Purina start and grow, along with oyster shell for the layer that is free choice. They also free range each day for at least an hour or two.
The only thing thay worries me is that the others push her away from the food, so she eats last, even though there are multiple feeders. I have started feeding her separately.

Oh that looks gross in the picture!
That is a tomato that they were eating. I used it to bribe her to come close to get a picture. That was after the other chickens demolished it!

She may be from different parentage, thus be developing a bit slower.
Does she always get pushed away from the feed?
Might want to check her crop on the roost after dark for a few nights, see if it's full.
She may be low hen in the pecking order...and that can change.
She sure looks healthy.
