North Carolina

Ariana, I'v stepped out of the poultry loop, But. It would be cool to set something of the sort up, Alb, is not very far from gates. Maybe do some sort of a swap, or show? I know a ton of big time breeders i still keep in touch with. if interested. But the local paper is also a very convienent place to throw the extra birds at.

Do to heavy rains I've found that my silkie coop, is leaking from everywhere! :thud

I could leave them in their coop and move them to the barn, but they seem to far away from the house, and it worries me.
My other option is to divid the big coop and put them in there,

My big question…What is NPIP? And can I put my silkies, which I'm assuming are NPIP, in with my other girls who aren't NPIP as they came from a hatchery?

Quote:
NPIP is the national poultry improvement plan, and yes you can put the together, because until Your birds are tested as a whole flock none of yours are NPIP. You can be tested byy contacing a state represntative, but then you can't add any more birds unless they are from NPIP. Certified breeders also.

Hope that helps
