So all of my layers have gone in to molt, down from 5 or 6 eggs a day to 1 if I am lucky! My 5 Silkiie hens are all broody, so my egg sales are down. How long does it take for a hen to molt and start laying again?

I think we are all in that boat, or soon to be if the ladies aint lighted any. I get two silkie and four big eggs a day, not enough! Gotta remeber to get eggs from mom and dad.

Still getting eggs here but from the girls with lights, the other coops not kept lighted past early evening are slowing down and the cooler evenings are helping them to slow down too.

Can't wait to see those new coops Beth.

Hope your DH gets the job he wants Vfem.
