Good morning all, I enjoyed listening to everyone talk about their roos crowing, I have to say I love to hear it when it is only the 2 I have, when it's 5-6 crowing then it does get to be a bit much. Plus everyonce in a while my Goose gets started and boy they can probably hear him all over the county, thankgoodness he doesn't do it often. So no shows close in February? I am still only getting 5-6 eggs a day out of 12 hens but I think my over 2 year olds have slowed down and aren't laying at all now, hopfully they will when it gets warmer. They will finish their lives out here in retirement. I would love to be able to visit the Farm like all of ya'll have done sounds like an awesome place to visit. and maybe come home with a few new girls to replace my retirees. Beth really has a nice operation going there.

To see those Peacocks in person would be awesome.

Hope everyone has a great day. Looks like another cold front for a couple of days then back to spring, makes you wonder what Feb. and March will be like, but the Old Farmers Alamac said mild winter and they hit it on the head this time.

I love listening to them all talk to each other. Beth do ur ducks party at night? From like 830 til 1 or 2 in the morning my ducks have a blast talking to each other....digging in the mud...etc. its crazy especially since it is right outside our room

to all those posts about styrofoam coolers: go to your local pet store (ones that have fish) and ask about the big coolers. I've got 2 that I now don't need cuz I'm not supposed to get anymore chickens and I'm not incubating! they're BIG!
In other news I think the count is around 40? but my chicken math says I only have 5 since I only get 3-4 eggs a day...
all my babies are doing amazing. Bhep gave me the prettiest EE babies I have ever seen!!!!!
I'm supposed to be working but I'm playing on here...oh well

Luke you going to go to Wicked Chicken this weekend? lol I'm meeting Colie to swap some birds, if you do wind up going let me know! I would love to get one of those big coolers...Theres no petstores within 30 miles of me, and the last time I went to one and asked, they don't get big ones, just little ones cause that petco doesn't get many fish in at once since they have a pretty pitiful selection.

Maybe, if I don't go I'll send it with Colie, my land lady wasn't too happy at all the "junk" I've acquired the year we've lived there so I'm trying to thin out some

Just have to get in my rooster issue. They don't crow where I can hear them in the house. In fact, my jap bantam sounds like he's chocking after a few tries and he just quits. I heard a crowing from my office yesterday while I was working and thought "hooray, he finally got it out of his throat!"...only to open the front to door and realize the neighbor had a rooster standing up on her horse fence crowing across from my house. No idea who's rooster that was, but he sure sounded nice.

So here I am with 1 for sure roo and 1 possible at 9 months old... and I think to myself, "It sure is too quiet out there."
