This winter has thrown everyone off.

Are they even looking at the nest boxes?



MaryRuth... Awwww... love little Quail, they are like little helicopters when they learn to fly.

I don't know if they are showing interest in the nest boxes.

I don't watch them during the day enough to see them interested in them. I haven't seen the roos trying to mate either. Wouldn't that be another sign that they are at egg laying age?

I'm making a big dinner for a good friend tomorrow night. He is a NJ Yankee and is getting a big southern meal. I need inspiration for dessert though.

Thanks to Bhep I now have tons of duck eggs and would like to use them in some way. I can always make buttermilk pie but was looking for something a little more wow.

I can't remember the last time I made cobbler but I don't remember using any/many eggs.

Dinner is going to be:
Pork Roast w/homemade gravy
green beans
twice baked potatoes
homemade yeast/dinner rolls
