North Carolina

Hiya! I'm also in Iron Station/Denver:)

Hi Neighbor,
welcome-byc.gif

I have visited the pilot plant and talked to the people who work there. Its a great looking facility and will be a great addition for us! Its about a 2 hour drive for me, about 30 minutes further than I go to Chaudry's.
When I took the tour I talked about making sure that the carcasses looked nice as they went into the vacuum sealer. I have gotten chickens from Chaudry's that looked like they were hit by a bus and got caught in the sealer all sideways. I will still use Chaudry;s but I am going to give the pilot plant a go.

Thanks for the info and WELCOME

Thanks for the happy B-Days. I wish it was. I am congested and spent most of the day trying to sleep. Can't really remember what else I was going to type, so I will just stop here.

Matt

Welcome to all the new folks !!

Happy Birthday Matt & I hope you get to feeling better... it has been a pretty yucky day today.

We went out to the Flock Swap, in Fayetteville this morning... saw a few BYCer's there... sold a few eggs...
We left when the rain started falling... as I didn't want my son, Josh, to catch cold.

I'm in Cabarrus County. Looking for silkie chicks. I only want 2, and I'm not really sure if the local farm supply shops sell them when they sell their other chicks. Any help would be great.

I also went to the flock swap in Fayetteville, I got that just as it started to rain. It only rained for about 5-10 min. I did real well. Sold ALL my eggs, 3 of my Brahmas, trio of Splash Silkies, SIlkie chicks, Button Quail & swapped my bantam Cochin hen for a Gold Laced Wyandotte hen.

Only brought home the peacock pair & 2 Brahma hens.
