So, we went to the Nature Museum in Charlotte for Chicken Day, and met Marmalade the mascot for the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue charity based here in Indian Trail.
Here is Allison with Marmalade:
Poor old boy has had 2 homes and finally made it to the rescue center, where 2 weeks ago the roof caved in due to the snow. He was found frozen, bleeding and with a couple of broken bones. Luckily he survived.
That is a very nice picture thanks for sharing. And I believe someone is bringing Aprons and other handmade items Orloof, I think it's Allison, the lady in the picture.
I don't think I can make it because I do pet sitting and we made plans with someone to watch there dog. At first they where going to pick there dog up on the 12th which means I need to be home but now they might pick her up on the 11th. They have not decided yet which day so I am in limbo
POOR BOY! He must be as strong willed as he looks! Thanks for sharing! Look forward to meeting you guys at the show! DON'T MAKE ME THROW ON SOME CHIKN ART....I WAS JUST CONTEMPLATING GETTING MY SUPPLIES OUT!
Im still in need of one or two FBC Marans roos. I have two I'm picking up in the morning but I still need one or two more. Preferably a bit removed from the bev davis or wade jean lines as all my girls are from those lines.

Yes Miss Lydia, it is Allison who is bringing the aprons for sale at the show. We're also going to have a donation jar to raise funds for Marmalade and his buddies as they are always in need of help.
Thinking of maybe some egg carrying baskets too, will hope to bring one as a sample andsee what the reaction to them are. They are padded bags, with individual padded pockets to hold the eggs so you don't end up with a pocket omlette!!
