first injury
our cat got close to the chicks and made a grab for one of our chicks. It seemed fine other than a little blood on its beak. So I checked it out and the beak had a small cut. That seems fine. But latter I found a puncture on the chick's abdomen with yellow discharge. The other chicks are pecking at it. What do I do?

I was just there anddid look for you,but I did not see you. We almost brought home 2 baby black jersey but I knew we were not ready yet. My hubby was looking for a goat but none of those. I guess maybe the rain stopped a lot from coming out.

separate...or they will peck her up. If i were me, I would put a little antibiotic and hope for the best. Chicks are pretty hardy.
