Just happen to have 2 cuckoo maran/ araucana hens and they are cuckooed

they are rumpless but you can add tails to the chicks

Never seen anything like it! they were GORGEOUS!!!! I was tempted to drain the bank and go back to see what he'd sell me but I kept myself calm and collected.....

Even though he had some place to be, he wanted me to get the grand tour. He's got nice, healthy looking birds, which is why I got more than I intended to. (okay, okay...chicken math!) He did NOT mention selling out, but I intend to keep in touch with him, so I'll ask him about it. If he's selling "everything", I've got dibs on his incubator! Unless I get a good one before then. right now I'm using little syrofoam still airs. They work okay, but they are cumbersome and I have to keep them indoors. I'd love a good sized one.

So now I have 53 chicks brooding, 40 incubating eggs (plus the lone turkey egg) and the adults. Maybe I'd better not go to the chicken swap........

Oh! And, LukesCityHens...nice to have almost met you! If it wasn't for you, I would have these chicks, so Thanks!

The Swedish Flowering hens were lovely, weren't they? My fly-fishing son would have been drooling over the hackle on that roo.

I didn't see an ugly bird on the place.
