Today the girls cleaned coops and the boys watched the pool drain.

What is wrong with this picture !????

at least they only WATCHED it drain. mine would have play pigs, BIG time.

Sounds like the girls have a day off coming while the boys spend a day catching up

Them boys got off way too easy, 1st off they need to be on the working end of the pooper scooper and the girls can keep the pool drain going!

The boys somehow find it interesting to toss the poop over the back fence instead of putting it in the wheelbarrow and dump it.

They were all threatened with a beheading if they made mud around the pool.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Busy day planned here. I get to mow the lawn & orchard while DH rakes and then scoops out the coop. We are putting fresh bedding down for them...should be "interesting" to say the least with a broody and all, but it NEEDS to be done. I can hardly walk in there anymore without the smell getting to me (chalk it up to pregnancy or not, I don't want my little girls & boys getting ill!!). I will be building a trellis for my blackberry and raspberry bush that I thought the wind storm destroyed. They were growing up on the arch when the wind picked the arch up and tossed it a bit....the bushes survived, so we are building temporary trellises until we can figure out a way to unbend (or re-stake) the arch. I get to use the miter saw!!

I love it when DH allows me to play with his toys!! There will be a whole lot of planting going on today and a little more tilling before we get to the planting!! I don't know what happened, but my tomato plants just seemed to fall over, so I may try to pick some bigger plants up when I go pick up feed.

The last thing on our to do list is to pick up "Mi-Mi" at the airport tonight. Because she is coming into town...we all know that I will NOT be going into labor any time soon!!

VFem - I am SO ready for this one to come out that I don't even care that I will be missing rest for a while. With that said, I am SURE I will be so glad when our home isn't Grand Central Station...which won't happen until May!! We have company coming literally every week in April!!

BHep - Once everyone else is done...I have things I am sure DH would LOVE for the boys to do...especially in the planting/weeding areas, as he just LOVES how taxing it is on his "old" body...hehe!!

Well, at least the rain will enforce me staying indoors and cleaning my house instead of doing chicken things! I've been wanting to work outdoors lately, and have let my house go. It looks more like the dogs allow us to live with them than the other way around. Why is it that I'd rather clean a chicken house than clean MY house?

Still, must be done.
