Howdy all!
Seems like everyone is super busy with broodies... chicks... or sickness. Good luck with the broodies and chicks... and hopefully the sicknesses will pass quickly without wiping out your whole flock.
It has turned out to be such a lovely day outside... I guess I will be headed outdoors for the rest of the afternoon.

We burned some brush yesterday and roasted some hotdogs over the fire, late afternoon. My son loved it!

Beth, will you be headed out to WCA on Sunday? I was gonna pluck up some flowers for your mom..
They should keep for a bit if I put them into a bucket of water.

I will pop on later.... and might have some pics to post.

Green hows the horses doing, any baby yet?

If this is for me, we had to leave the mare at the q-barn. One of the other horses died and the necropsy found salmonella and recommended no stress to the others from that seizure. the DA(civil attorney filling in in Durham until they get a new one) in charge of the case would not let her be moved. I could not have taken her as salmonella is so opportunistic that it can jump species and might have affected the chickens and we now that is not good. Unfortunately, there are several other cases being worked on and the possibility of other starved pregnant mares coming into the program. it that happens I will most likely get one of those straight into quarantine at my place.

Adorable. I just sent you a pm.

I took loads of pics, today. My little dogs thought they had to be right under my feet... that is when they weren't chasing one another... fighting over a danged feather... LoL

This is hubby's dog... she is a rat terrier.

Here they are playing in the yard... and Coco has the elusive "FEATHER"... Haha

Now it is MiMi's turn to run with the "FEATHER"

They are so silly....

Mother & Daughter....

"Heyyy... the turkey's got food??"

"That's food?" "It doesn't look like food..."

"Let's taste it..."

"He might bite me... quick... scare him away!" "Ummm... BOO!"

About Beth's pretty flowers......
Beth, Here's a pic of the purple one's I was telling you about....

Some of the flowers are fading out... but they come up in bunches and are a dark purple.

And Here are the red one's that I mentioned.... DH dug these up for you....
as you can see... poor man.

We dug up some of the purple irises you wanted, too.

Plus, I also added some of these... they aren't blooming yet but when they do, they have beautiful reddish orange blooms. These can get really tall.

Here is your bucket of flowers...

Oh yeah... I took a pic of the blue snowball bush.... it isn't flowering yet... but you can see kinda what it looks like. Just imagine big round blue balls on it... LoL
Let me know if you'd like a cutting off of it and I will add it to your bucket. Maybe I can fit it in somewhere.

Not sure if others know, but in case someone wants to look them up the red flowers are 'amaryllis', the next are 'canna lillies', and the blue snowball bush is a 'hydrangea'.

I think I know too much about flowers.

Matt

And, the cannas will take over the world if you let them!! And the small purple ones, will also take over an area!! The hydrangea likes low light, not full sun at all.
