She must be a fairly young bird... she lays every few days or so.... I will save you some next week.
I do have some other eggs for you, though. Are you heading to WCA this Sunday?

I have a broody question. Our broody hen Hazel has a hatch date for her eggs of June 7-8th. When is the best day to move her to a broody box? Right now she is in the main area in a nesting box but I know that will not be big enough for her and any chicks that (hopefully

) hatch. I know it is best to move her at night and thanks to NHs pictures I am planning to use a kitty litter plan to make her nest in the brooder area we just released our teen chicks from. My DH works night Sunday through Wednesday so I am trying to make things easier on me when it comes to moving her if I have to move her before the 21 day mark. I have heard some people suggest not to move her till there are pips and chicks already hatched, but I don't know how easy that would be for us. I would rather have her in a safe area ahead of time especially with the fact that we just added the teenage chicks to the flock. I don't want anything happening to chicks when they hatch. Would moving her Saturday or Sunday be too early?

I honestly thought for the past - oh 6 weeks - that "it" was a HE. Because he is part Orpington, I was told to wait to ensure he was a He. LOL. I did see him "stretching" his neck yesterday which pretty much sealed it for me. LOL. Thanks for the confirmation though!! Now to see what he looks like at 6months before being "promoted" to freezer camp!!
YAY!! Congratulations!!

I must admit I was disappointed that the rain stopped this morning. Was hoping DH's golf outing would get rained out...lol, I know so mean of me. Still, it would be nice to have a day half to myself, right?!?

I know I am terrible. I guess the girls and I can spend the day watching the babies...it will be super productive....or not!! LOL
