My Auracana-Silkie mix I got from you is doing fabulously! She's as happy as could be and lays 5-6 beautiful blue eggs a week! I hope all is well over in your neck of the woods

Good Morning, Everyone!

Company comes today, so I have lots of last minute chores to do this morning.

Ah, well.

Hope everyone has a great day. Scottcaddy, hope you feel better soon!

Good Morning everyone!!
I must say I am SO happy today is Friday, but then I realize I have company coming tomorrow and I am NOT ready!! My order of flour came so I can at least start making bread & rolls for tomorrow's cookout. Now to decide on dessert....hmmm...

On a chicken note: we either have had a chick hatch or one of the girls ate/crushed an egg. Not sure whose egg it was as it was between them, but I do not see a chick anywhere (granted my BO will not get up off her nest for anything!!) so perhaps that's what happened to the other disappearing eggs?!? Poor Jemimiah - she's been sitting on eggs for over 3 weeks now - hmm...can I put guineas under her?!? LOL that would be a shock for her...to "wake up" one morning with a brood of feathered out guineas!!

I hope she at least is eating/drinking. I put a HUGE tomato in there for them to munch on as a treat and I cannot say whether or not she ate it, as I have said before - I haven't seen her get up ONCE!!

Now...off to come up with dessert for our cookout. Have a wonderful day everyone!!

NH I have lost new chicks, lol, I pick up the hen and no chick. but I can hear it peeping so I open wings on the hens also as they tend to hide in there. that or a non broody hen has stole the baby for herself. Gotta love them silkies
