Although I don't have a Home Owner's Assoc, I don't want to be the reason one is created...

I'm selling my Ameraucana rooster for $5. He's 18 weeks old, just started crowing and mating with the ladies.

Also my Easter Egger rooster "lucky" (he's on the right). He's 22 weeks old. $5.

Last one for the day.. Bilingual chicken!!!
I'm looking to sell my Silkie rooster "Chuck". He is fluent in chicken and Muscovy duck. He's about 18 weeks old and came home with my Muscovy duck and hangs out with her and her drake.

I'm open to selling them or trading for some hens/ pullets. I'm interested in getting some Marans or Welsummers, but mostly something that (will or does) lay eggs!

I really need to thin down to bring any more home, but would love to have the Ameraucana cockerel if you want to pick out a pullet from my yard to trade. I really need to take many out, and then re-introduce a few new blood. I have one that is between 20-21 weeks, but don't want to breed him back in with his own blood in the spring. If you feel up to a short drive, pm me and I will give you my # and address so you can make a time to come over and pick out a (new layer/future layer) to trade him for. He looks like he would make beautiful offspring with a few of my girls. You can make the same trade with the other two little males if need be.
If I can't use them for my house or the boys' pets they will go for sale in a few weeks with the others. I think the truck has been fixed for inspection. Sooo .... it won't be long now.

Hello everyone,
We will be making the move back down to NC the first of sept. We close on our house on the 31st and I really need to find out where the groups are that do swaps and all that fun stuff.
Guess I should tell yall where we are going to be to help on where the swaps will be... We are moving to henderson we will be backed up to Kerr lake.
We do alot of shows and swaps up this way so we would like to be able to do so swaps as they help us pay the feed bill.
We raise (had to cut way back) Blue Jersey Giants (sq lines) , Black breasted red Japanese bantams,Olive Eggers and jg x olive eggers,EEs,birchen Marans (young trio) ,Call ducks.
I will be getting a young trio back out of my wishard bronze turkeys that I had sold to Msbear.
Thanks ahead of timefor any help and good luck placing those roosters. I have a lot to place or process myself.

Good Morning, Everyone!

It's back to work for me this week too, starting a new morning schedule. Sigh. Chores are done, I just need to put on my shoes and head out. The chickens, turkeys and sheep were confused about the early morning feeding! They'll get used to it, I expect. They'll have to!

CSB...I didn't get your voicemail until this morning. I suppose you are one person I could call at this hour, but I'm not going to!

If it's still possible, I would like to get that from you. We'll just have to sort out logistics.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning everyone...not much going on today here...hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

ETA: Just found out we lost another chick last night (my FAVORITE

)...not sure where she went either. The hawk has been "feasting" on smaller birds in the area so I don't think it's the hawk. Whatever it is, it also took 2 of the kittens that have been living outside. The runt (again, my FAVORITE) and one of the smaller males disappeared last night as well. Today officially stinks!!

Yup...it's Monday for sure!!

Also was wondering what you all (ahem, y'alls) think. My one broody has been sitting on eggs now for 4 1/2 - 5 weeks (her original set of eggs "disappeared") and is not eating at all (she has food in front of her, I even bring her treats throughout the day like tomatoes, peas, bananas, even chicken!!). Do you think I should try and find someone with day old chicks and plop them under her or let her continue to sit? I am not sure when the eggs she is currently on were sat upon, because I know for a fact they were not there when we left (as she had marked eggs) but were there when we returned from our trip. That was about 2 weeks ago, so she would still have another week +/- a few days to go. If you think I should try to go the chick route, does anyone have any very young chicks that I could "hide" under her? What is your experience with this?!? Anyone?? Many Thanks!!
