Good morning everyone...it's Wednesday which means the weekend is just around the corner!!

Coop - I have given up on being warm and DH just laughs at me when I wear socks to bed to keep my icicles from freezing the bed!! LOL

Baking day for me...or sewing...not sure which. It SHOULD be sewing as I still have Christmas dresses to make, but the pattern is from hades and I really do just want to throw everything into the fireplace and watch it burn...

Maybe I will bake WHILE I am sewing so I can have a 10 minute break every 10 minutes...hehe. Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning, Everyone!

I highly recommend getting an electric mattress pad if you don't already have one. Between that, flannel sheets and a down comforter, my chronically cold self sleeps cozy as can be...even with no working furnace.

I've got a long day today. Work first, trying to make up exams for tomorrow around students coming for help.

Then a last appointment at 2:30. Then rush back to Fayetteville for a 4:00 appointment at the orthotics place, because yesterday I shifted my weight on my feet and my brace just broke!

Thankfully it's made to lock if something like that happens, so I didn't fall. But really, it's not usable at this point. I'm wearing my old brace today with a knee wrap, as the old one was just for the foot drop and not knee support, too. After that orthotics appointment, I have doggie school at 6:00. Then home to feed. Then crash!

At least Thursday I don't have to think, just give exams.

Just a couple more weeks until this semester is over! I've got good students this time around; I'll hate to see them go.

ohhh DARN! I finally talked the GF into letting me have a few breeding pens at my roommates tow shop and I really want sweds and brahmas. So pencil me in for some babies!!!!

Help!! I desperately need a Large Fowl Splash Rooster. I have some in the brooder but I need one in the next few weeks. My girls have decided that my stunning Splash Orp rooster is no longer worthy. He has been with them for almost a year and now they are done. UGH picky witches.

you might not need a new roo, most my birds slow up on mating this time of year. your hens might not be in the mood for love by no one right now but come warmer weather and more daylight they might still like him

I have 3 different breeding groups, and all three roosters are being rejected. Their girls won't squat, they run away and sometimes turn on the boys. But they were all fine and happy when it was warm. So may be the cold.

Does anyone have a young or handled white silkie?

My "playful" lab killed one of my newest girls, Leah last night. I guess they are about a week old. My poor 7yo daughter (and all of us) are devastated. It's amazing how attached we all become, even just after a week.

I don't want a roo yet, only fem. I'm holding out for a red phoenix roo.

I understand breeding is down in the winter but they haven't liked him in months!!! I'm tired of dragging th back into the coop from all the other places they would rather sleep than be penned with him. I got the message loud and clear...NEW ROOSTER WANTED. lol
