Good morning, Happy People!

Came back from Georgia last night exhausted. Good to see family (most of them) but very glad that's over! My eggs arrived yesterday while we were gone, but the delivery person never leaves packages, just leaves a pickup ticket. But the package is in his car, so it can't be picked up until the next day anyway. Grump, grump. I'll set up the hovabator in a minute, so it's ready for them, minus the turner. The can get warm while they settle. Ten days with postal service on Priority shipping!

Today is eggs, car inspection, family photographs, hopefully a haircut, cleaning up the guest room, the departure of my daughter and the arrival of my sister. I'm tired just thinking of it.

Edited to add....picked up my eggs! Despite amazing wrapping, USPS managed to break three of them, so that tells me the others have been badly shaken. We'll see how they do.

What would the babies look like if I put my dark brahma roo over some swedish flower hens? I want the feathered feet and good personality with some funky colors! or what could I put the roo over to keep the feathered feet and just make crazy colors

depending on the quality of your brahma, anything should come off with some feathered shanks. Now for color, most the crazy color will be in the roos in mixed breeds. However starting with a hen that has multi colors in her ( your swedish) will increase your chances of different colored hens.

Good Morning, Friday People!

DD left last night with her friend, and my sister arrived. Sis and I head to the outlets today, planning on getting there at opening, as I expect it will get crowded fast. Another long day. Soon I will have my days back to myself...just in time to start a new semester!

House Chicken defies being named. She has gotten very sweet and enjoys being held. At this point she really should go be a child's pet, but I guess she'll just remain House Chicken even after she goes out again.

Tomorrow is pick-up day for Levi! Exciting!

Good morning folks

what a pretty day it is begining to look like.......
think I just may go out and do some yard
chores today. I had been feeling a bit sick
lately but I'm feeling much better today
and the outdoors is calling me to come play.

Brought home some young turkeys and
put them out by the pigeons.....next to
the old man ( horse in his mid 30s and
a bit persnickity).......he did not take well
to the turkeys........he still will not go
inside to his stall......even when it rains
and he HATES getting wet.............he
will get over it

You can always throw a waterproof turnout blanket on your old boy. That's what we do for our older horses in the winter time and they sure do appreciate it! Ours have shelter but rarely go under it so we just blanket the older ones to keep them from burning extra calories to keep warm.

I hope you had a very MERRY Christmas. Would it be possible for me to purchase some Serama hatching eggs from you ? I am also looking for a very small Serama rooster and hen if you have any young ones for sale. Do you have any Frizzle Seramas ? If not, do you know someone that is not real far away that has any for sale ? ...

I have a young pair and a young trio for sale. They are all smooth feathered. I do have frizzles, but none for sale at this time. I can collect eggs for you, if you know when you want them. I can add any eggs laid from my frizzle hens.

Hello everybody

So glad the holidays are over, i am plum wore out. I spent most of today sleeping in between bouts of morning sickness. I am feeling very achey and sick. I go to the doctors monday for my second ultrasound YAY. My mom thinks i am carrying a girl because i am having all day morning sickness,(stupid name for something that can last all day or only night i have yet to wake up sick) and craving carbos and sweets. Good thing too, cause we have to big pans of lasagna. And a about 6 dozen different sweets
I went a got my christmas present part 2 yesterday, 4 frizzle cochins and 2 barn kittens from westknollfarms. . Ugh ok time to go find away to soothe my stomach. Hope you all have a wonderful evening
