Thanks. I'm spending the day kicking myself for being so forgetful. After all the fox attacks we've had! And honestly, I'd rather feed the foxes than collect uneaten birds that were "played" to death by dogs that weren't even trying for a meal! At least the foxes have a reason for killing my chickens. The dog(s) were just playing. Grrrr.....
Hubby plans to go get a larger live trap today, and see if he can catch it. If he does, the owner will be liable for payment for those losses. Eighteen birds. If the dog has no tags, then we will assume it's a stray and take appropriate action towards livestock killing feral dogs.
It IS set. Normally, I go feed the calves, do the rabbits, and by the time the calves are done, it's dark enough to close up the henhouse. With hubby "helping", we're done before sundown. I'll just have to set more alarms. Or something. Stay out until dark. Which is what hubby does NOT want me to do, as I have Raynauds and the cold is not my friend. He's trying to protect me. But I work better with patterns.
Now I have four alarms set.
Shoot. You're too young to start that! Leave the forgetfulness to us old folks! It IS set. SIGH.... I NEED to follow a schedule or I forget things myself. Alarms are my friend...unless I forget what the alarm is for.![]()
