Story, thanks for posting the picture, I had no idea there were that many of us from BYC there, gosh I didn't get to meet very many of ya'll. I was surprised that there weren't many other breeds either, but I sure do look forward to coming to the next one, and seeing ab and story get their Emus from Em. that will be a picture for sure..

..One other thing, While I was there most of the isles were roped off so I assumed you could not go down these to look at the poultry...I viewed from a far...Maybe I was being too polite...Is this common to go to a show and not be able to go down the isles once they are roped from judging?

The roped off isles are being judged. You don't know these things...glad you asked. And politeness was a good rule...you don't want yourself to wander up on a clear isle upon a judge doing his job to get the "look"...haha...I think most assume people know why the isles are roped...Sometimes the next isle is roped off to clear in preparation for the judge to come down next. Hey- if you ever want to know these things, just ask! Most everyone is willing to help answer any questions...Busiest time is right before cooping in by 9 so if you have questions for exhibitors it's best to wait to ask (and view) after all the birds are cooped. The isles are narrow and it can be a challenge to get the birds in and out with extra folks at the coops...

Hope this helps!
Kim
