Congrats Luke!!!!!
Love the name, can't wait to see a pic!

I'm giving up on the metal shed, I'm just getting worried about the heat since it's partially in the sun all day. I'm going to attempt to build a wooden one without plans, so wish me luck! I need something to pass the time the month my husband is away.

This is my Blue French Copper Maran chick! Finally hatched, last chick to hatch from our first incubation. Only one of the BCM's to hatch (out of 4 eggs). Going to be a pretty one!

Howdy BYC's! I have been at the beach for a week and trying to get more stuff done around here. I am close to being completely done with coop. I am working on egg door now since hopefully we will have eggs in the next couple weeks. And hopefully going to install my new solar lights for the coop today when hubs gets home. I have already burned through two extension cords running light up to coop so I can see at night and help them all make it inside. One of my polish ladies sometimes does not make it in if light not on.

I am thinking of free ranging a little each day for tick control. Ticks around here are already crazy and it is only May. I can not handle it. That was one of the reasons I got chicks but I am a little worried about our lab. I am going to tie him up in the afternoon when he should be laying around anyway and then hopefully let him off once they go back in run. I feel bad but if it helps with ticks it has to be done.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday! Summer starts for me next week when my preschooler is done with school for the year... bummer! : )
