{So this may be wrong, but} I really want my 2 little SLW chickies to be my little egg laying pets. Right now they are almost 5 weeks and still scared of me. What can I do other than give them treats? Does holding them really make them more used to you or just increase anxiety? Help!

Got question for ya'll I am looking for LF blue cochin eggs, from show quality stock, does anybody on her breed them? Or can anyone put me in touch with someone who does? I am also looking show or breeder quality buff orpington hatching eggs.

I have found that the chicks go through this stage. Treats will help and before you know it they will come when called and stalk you for goodies.

my kids took 3 hen raised silkies that are now 10 months old and in the last month, by holding them all the time, have made them friendly. My littlest DD can even pull hers around in her wagon.
