Got a question! We have turned all our chickens loose to free range. We moved the nesting box cause our Donkey took over the chicken coop. LOL
My question is will the chickens still use the nesting box? How long will it be before they start using it?

Got question for ya'll I am looking for LF blue cochin eggs, from show quality stock, does anybody on her breed them? Or can anyone put me in touch with someone who does? I am also looking show or breeder quality buff orpington hatching eggs.

{So this may be wrong, but} I really want my 2 little SLW chickies to be my little egg laying pets. Right now they are almost 5 weeks and still scared of me. What can I do other than give them treats? Does holding them really make them more used to you or just increase anxiety? Help!

If you hold them a lot they will get more friendly.

Been raining steady with some heavy periods for about 90 minutes. Everything is flooded again. The gardens were just starting to dry out enough to work again, now there is standing water everywhere.

With drought in so many parts of the country I try not to complain about the rain but I must admit, this week it's getting harder to be happy about it!

Hi all,
It has rained here all day off and on too. Lots of it. Thunder, hail, lightening etc. shudder. The power has also shuddered off and on. Poor computer. It has been off and I have to restart it.
I have some tiny little roos of Norwegon Jearhons, Gnhs and later I will have some male Delawares. I do not like to grow them out. They are 2 and 1/2 weeks old if anyone is near Franklin they could have them free. Just send me a note. Oh I also have one dominigue, roo and I think one Slw roo of the same age.
