Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday I was treating my Leghorn girls to some mealworms and I snapped this shot. It is now a super treat, they are obsessed! I am not sure they can get enough -- enjoy and have a blessed day :)

Been pouring rain for about an hour, wind is gusting at up to 50 and has blown down several limbs, it starting to hail, and we are without power :( my incubator has been covered with towels to keep the heat in, :fl my poor chicks are in the barn huddled around a hot water bottle, and the quail are freaking out. My poor little white crest blue polish got caught out in the storm, she took cover beneath a bush, and I almost didn't notice until I heard her scream, she was hit by a fallen log and I fear she broke her leg, I put her in a dark crate, with food and water, once the storm lifts I'll go assess her leg better.

Time will tell. I am gonna put up some pics for those that know more about chicken breeds than I do....Just gotta find that camera!!!!! My smallest chick, one of the australorpes, is quickly becoming an escape artist. I am beginning to believe that she is searching out attention. As soon as I find her she sits in my hand and looks up, as if to say, "So there you are!!!" They are just so funny. Lovin' these lil'chickies.
