Yesterday I was treating my Leghorn girls to some mealworms and I snapped this shot. It is now a super treat, they are obsessed! I am not sure they can get enough -- enjoy and have a blessed day

Been pouring rain for about an hour, wind is gusting at up to 50 and has blown down several limbs, it starting to hail, and we are without power my incubator has been covered with towels to keep the heat in, my poor chicks are in the barn huddled around a hot water bottle, and the quail are freaking out. My poor little white crest blue polish got caught out in the storm, she took cover beneath a bush, and I almost didn't notice until I heard her scream, she was hit by a fallen log and I fear she broke her leg, I put her in a dark crate, with food and water, once the storm lifts I'll go assess her leg better.

I have 2 Black Australorpe, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Ameraucana, 1 Partridge Rock (these 7 are 3 weeks old), and 3- 5.5 week old bought as : 1 New Hampshire and 2 White Rock.......but at this point I know that this is not what they are.....it may be the other way around.......

Time will tell. I am gonna put up some pics for those that know more about chicken breeds than I do....Just gotta find that camera!!!!! My smallest chick, one of the australorpes, is quickly becoming an escape artist. I am beginning to believe that she is searching out attention. As soon as I find her she sits in my hand and looks up, as if to say, "So there you are!!!" They are just so funny. Lovin' these lil'chickies.
