North Carolina

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Ours consisted of missing WCA, weeding the garden, weeding the garden again, watering the garden, sitting under the shade tree, grilling out, and relaxing. Often times on 3-day weekends, we travel to Ohio to visit our family & friends. This time, we opted to stay home. Good choice.

Yesterday, we did some co-free ranging with the SLW babes and the 6 Leghorns, all went well. The SLW babes ended up in the run/coop which worked out ok because I wanted them to check it out - as they will be joining the other 6 in the next week or two. However, when it came time to get them out ------- yeah, we need a door on the run. I have been trying to tell hubs. I think now he gets it. In the next week or so, we will have a door in the run. I just had to prove to him that it was absolutely necessary. Mr. is that kind ... Does anyone have a picture they can share of the door on their run? Yes, I need to come armed with solutions.

Ah, but he finally took care of it himself now didn't he?  (Personally, I like your version better :) )
and that certainly was the main thing. There are still no holes for me to trip in. And he left the slate under the rosemary bush so he wouldn't have to do anything but a rectangle. Of course, he left a pile of slate, too. But he's leaving for a week, and I'll get that hauled back out to the slate pile first thing.

. He liked it soooooooo much that when I got back from WCA Sunday, it looked like this:

Told ya he'd hate it!

Well it looks good. :) And no more holes and you STILL get to brag that you did it yourself the 1st time.

Good morning:) our coop infact has two doors. As we discovered (really fast) that if we were inside of the coop all our girls would run to the area we couldn't reach, thus my husband added a mini door at the bottom. It's not perfect and the coop did settle a bit but it works.

*i have no idea how to post multiple pics from my phone so excuse the several post I make in order to show you*

Everything is well on the home front, little man sleeps like his momma ( all the time!, and snores real loud) but don't tell her I told yall that. I've been feeding and watering the birds but have neglected to get eggs in a couple days. I go out this morning wondering where all my big birds are.........4/7 are sitting on eggs
