You sick people need to get well!

My guests are gone. The parents of my daughter's boyfriend stopped for the night on their way home from Florida. My DH has met them before, but I had not. I was nervous...city slicker meets country bumpkin scenario. I need not have worried. They are awesome people. And they brought chicken presents! A book I did not have, and an awesome kettle! (She's British and he's Irish, so they do know kettles!). They got good intel from my DD, and she went for practical based on comments I made on fb. I could enjoy these people as neighbors.

Well I sold everything I brought!! Two roosters, one went for $10 the other went for $4 (bantam sized and unknown breed so I was just happy I didn't have to GIVE him away)
My Splash Andalusion went for $30, Splash LR Wyandottes $25 each and Golden Comet $20. Mind you, I did have everyone priced $5-$10 more expensive (except the roosters) but I expected to be haggled down a bit.
Not bad! I was so pleased at the number of comments I got on my birds, "how pretty they are and healthy looking". :) Made my day!!
So I'll definitely try selling at Carolina Town and Country flock swap again, even though I'm almost positive I was the most expensive person there hahaha.

Wow, great kettle! I'm glad they turned out to be nice folks.

Thanks @FVRM and @chicknleg
There is probably too much ventilation since it is completely closed on 3 sides but only partially on the fourth side! Moisture could be the issue with them all huddled on their perches and pooping all night. I do add new shavings weekly or fortnightly (depending on weather) and try to feed them seeds or grains on their coop floor once or twice a week so they'll stir it up for me. Probably would be more efficient if I did it every day though.
I've had the temperature drop below 32F many times with no frostbite. It seems to be the nights it gets in the 20's or teens. Just didn't know if there was a cutoff temp that I should watch out for and apply Vaseline on those particular nights.

Actually it would help to have a vent in the opposite side that has the opening now so air can pass thru. Just so the openings are above the roost so the wind blows over them and not on them. Here it explains it.
