Happy Bday to your niece Meg. Sorry to hear of you not breeding the pure AMs, but understand why. Some people can't understand it when I say my parents have all 3 (ee, ameraucanas, and araucanas). But you gotta love it to feed it for long

. Are you still thinking of showing some of your birds Meg?
It did help on space to eliminate the Ameraucanas from the keeper list. And space is always at a premium!

Still thinking about showing. It won't be this year, as I have few babies I've bred and raised myself. Just doesn't seem right to show what someone else bred. I know it's done, but I don't want to. We will see what my hatching gives me for next year.

Got my NPIP paperwork today. I'm official!

Meredith! Hope you had a happy birthday!

good morning everyone! i posted yesterday about looking for pullets in the charlotte/davidson area, but haven't gotten a response yet. can y'all give me some other ideas on where to look for some heritage pullets that are ready to live outside? i have their home all ready! thank you! :)

I don't know anyone out that way, and won't be going that direction myself until June/July. Way too late for you! Might try a search by location on BYC if that criteria is possible here. Or check the breed lists and see if there's anyone local to you. Good luck!

lilmagill,
check the iwanna paper. a buddy a work found a man in there that has from chicks to pol. He even said he had some domineckers. (spelling?) He should join this site because he finally admitted to being an addict after he bought 6 more silkie chicks friday. In the past couple of weeks i think he has bought about 12 chicks plus the ones he had before. Good ol chicken math strikes again. lol
Just looked on iwanna.com and the man is from hiddenite. From what my friend says he has an incubator full of eggs.
