Hiya, and welcome to BYC!

We have a border collie, now about 11 years old. When we brought her out here when she was around 2, she naturally understood her job. The only thing, she won't herd them for me. She's stood up to a bear, chased off fox, raccoons, and coyotes, but when I need help getting them back from the farmer's field, I'm on my own lol.

Good morning, welcome to BYC! There is a lot to be said for a small flock and not rocking the boat!

When I think about getting more I just look at how beautiful they are, and they're all just so plump and happy!

Peace in the flock is ideal.

It's so comforting to know if we go away and they are confined to their coop run for a few days, that they're are all happy and able to go about their day fairly normally (although realistically probably very mad that the door has not been opened for them to free range ) and no one gets picked on.
