Got some permethrin and dipped all my chickens and then cleaned out and sprayed down the coop. Gotta tell ya, the dipped chickens looked so funny, all drowned rat bedraggled and everything. The poor things. They hated us for the day, till I spoiled them with bread scraps.

Sorry to hear about the dog trouble some of you have been having, hope you get it all worked out.

I second that. I live in Sanford and would love to have a peacock/peafowl roaming the property we are moving to. Would prefer to hatch in hopes they will like me more

dang you know I never thaught of using that stuff I have a leftover tube from when my daughter got scabies playing outside... Would that work on leg mites too? Ive been just using vasoline

I got permethrin concentrate from TSC and, yes, it will take care of leg mites. Dip the chickens, clean out the coop and nesting boxes, spray them down, then repeat in two weeks. It took me and my husband about an hour to catch, dip, release, clean out and spray down our 21 chickens and the coop and boxes. Just do the dip in the morning on a warm sunny day so the chickens have time to warm up and dry out.

MY POOR ROOSTER IS NOW THROWING UP! EVERY TIME HE BENDS DOWN TO TRY TO EAT HE REGURGITATES! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH MY CHICKEN? HIS POOP IS RUNNY AND WHITE NOW THE COLOR HAS COME BACK IN HIS COMB AN WADDLES BUT HES THROWING UP ANY NUTRIENTS AND WATER I GIVE HIM! THAT MEANS HEA TROWING UP THE DARN ANTIBIOTICS TOO! PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT TO DO I DONT WANT TO LOSE HIM.

A quart container at TSC was $19.99, but since it's a concentrate, you mix it in water for the dip. I used 8oz. concentrate to 12 gallons water.

Good news and bad news out of 6 straight run barrred rocks I got one roo (good) out of four wyandottes I got one roo (good) concidering I have one grown blue red laced 3 silver laced and the gold laced is the roo makes for a nice flock. But I have ond gold sebright hen so I got asst straight run one lavender (roo) a lilac girl I think another lilac turkey chicks killed and a silver (roo) 2 roo 2 hens does not work lol I'm gonna need a few more sebright hens or some mille fleur hens or something that mixes well with sebright lol any ideas for cool sebright mixes? I'm open to them

is it fluid or solid stuff coming out? are you worming him?
