Good morning!

Couple questions--

I have like 400 eggs from the past month, can't go through them quick enough.

3.  Anyone know any recipes off hand that use up a ton of eggs, but not like a frittata or anything I hate anything that resembles the taste of scrambled eggs or omelet.

THANKS!

My favorite is spinach quiche, cheesecake and vanilla custard. :)
If you are adventurous you could try making French Macarons and lemon curd for filling! :)

Dutchbunny....cheesecake, which you can freeze in slices. Meringue cookies for whites. Custards for yolks. Ice cream!

MissMurder...do you sleepwalk??

A little story...I have 3 RIR, all are 5 weeks old. (I have a feeling I'm getting only 1 hen out of the 3 but whatever). I'm in the supply store yesterday getting some goods and I hear some peeps. I fall in love with a Barred Rock chick, they tell me she's female, about a week old, and I scoop her up and take her home with me to replace the 4th RIR that had a heart attack in my hands 2 weeks ago. I was afraid to mix the two ages, so I set up another pen for her next to the one with the older kids. After dinner, I let them all out to play together and make introductions. The older kids showed little interest, just checked her out and continued their usual chest bump activity. At around 11:30, I decide I'm going to bed. Check in on everyone, chicks, dogs, husband, kid, everyone is fine so it's off to dreamland...

This morning I wake up, go over to check on everyone, and my heart stops because my new baby is gone. I turn to check on the others, and there she is, in the brooder with the big kids. WTH? Immediately, I ask the hubby if he had moved her. He tells me: "I thought you did it? I checked on them a few times before I went to bed, and she was in there with them. No one seemed unhappy, so I just let nature do its thing. I was confused, because I couldn't figure out why you would set up a separate box just to put them all together."

My son is two, my dogs are kept separate from the chicks, and hubby says he didn't do it. I'm on my third cup of coffee, and my eggs are still scrambled. Chicken moving ghost?

Do your brooders have tops on them? I have had some escape when the top was cracked only a little bit. Chickens are a herd animal and want to be with other birds, so I would think she jump brooder boxes.

Got me a game roo at auction lastnight he's grey/hatch I'm thinking I'm gonna breed him to a thai hen and my asil/saipan grade hens. May make some nice birds I think. He just got dubbed this morning but still needs a touch up when he heals up a bit
