Okay thanks :)

Even with the black?
I was thinking rooster, but if it's a sex link it's gotta be a girl.
It's from the hatchery so I know sometimes their coloring can be off.
I appreciate the feedback

Hmmm,,, you may have to wait for this one to grow out. LOL

Glad you got your coop done and the birds are enjoying their new home.
Hope they stay safe.

Haven't gotten anything more done to my coop but those 2 roos just didn't want to follow me out to free range in the yard...so I took some food and water and set it up in the run... I'm coming down with bronchitis and an ear infection! Just what I need but have bought myself a day or so. I'll go to the dr in the morning and got started on some antiiotics... Then if I can, I will be home working on the coop. I've got some roofing materials ready, the 1/4" ready to put up to cover window openings, screws/washers for that, 2x4's for roosts, my buckets for nesting boxes, window and hinges ready, .... to I have got plenty to do !!!

Just came in to share cuteness!

Oh my gosh so cute!!!!!!!!! What is she/he?

Thanks everyone telling me about the meat birds.

@dutchbunny83 I'll have to look at the Freedom Rangers! Thank you!

@ramirezframing @Hollowoakfarm Thanks! I'm thinking I'll just use my orpingtons and using extra roosters for meat. Still going to do some research on the Freedom Rangers.

Has anyone ever had Super Blue Egg Layers? I'm thinking for like next Spring after we get things set up. I heard you take an EE rooster or Ameracauna rooster and cross them with a leghorn to make them. Don't know much about them, but wouldn't say no to some blue eggs at some point in the future. LOL

I have one. She's almost 4 months old now so she isn't laying yet. It was an extra when I bought some hatching eggs. I was excited that it hatched and was a pullet! She is from a silver ameraucana rooster over a white leghorn hen. She is white with some brown and black lacing, has yellow legs, pea comb, beard and muffs. She's really pretty. I'll have to take a photo of her. I'm anxious to see what color her eggs will be.

If I remember right, doubleataining on this thread was making them and selling them.
I'm sure she can tell you lots about them and what she uses to make them. As for colored
eggs........I love mine and all the colors but some folks do NOT want anything but white,
cream or brown eggs and will not eat or use colored eggs.......food for thought if you are
selling eggs. It may be best to see what your customers will accept.
