My fave rooster died. My mom said it happened Tuesday after I came and got my kitty.

he was my baby. My Butterbean. He used to sleep on my shoulder every night before I went to bed!!! She said she didn't want to tell me what with all the stress of moving and the cat and workings 9 days in a row! But she didn't have a choice to tell me now since I insisted on going to love on him!!! My poor Butterbean! RIP Butterbean' I'm sooo sorry I wasn't here when you needed the most. I love you! You know you were always my favorite!

I'm so sorry about your little friend! Some of them really manage to worm their way right into our hearts.

It's going to be a busy weekend and I still haven't got those
dang lights up........still trying to find the last couple bags......
seems they got moved and I just have not had much time
during the week to look for them. I was slowly switching over
some to those LED lights but sadly have discovered they don't
hold up well if left outside all year and they are too costly to
replace every few years soooooo..............

hope everyone has a good day

@sbrooks88 So sorry to hear your life is going crazy right now with the cat and now Butterbean! :( *hugs*
I agree with whoever said multiple litterboxes. You might also try having one in the bedroom at first if she is in there often. And if you have more than one litterbox, you can try topping one lightly with hay. I have a rescued senior cat and he liked to pee on pillows, blankets, dog bed, our bed (thankfully we have a waterproof mattress cover!) so I figured he was looking for something soft to use and the hay in the litter box did the trick. :)
Good luck! Cats just hate change! One of mine hates when we move furniture! :)

For those of you using nipple waterers in 3-5 gallon buckets for your chickens this winter, I have found a very affordable shatterproof water heater that will keep your buckets from freezing solid!
These are only 7 inches long so they should fit in most water buckets!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00061UQ6G/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1417890947&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SY200_QL40

Last year I had some by a different brand and while they worked really well, if the water level got too low, they would begin to overheat.
These heaters claim they will not!
I just bought three and am expecting great things from them. I have a thermostat outlet in the coop that will turn them on when the temperature gets to 30F and turn them off at 45F. Also got that on Amazon.

Here's to a winter free of lugging around frozen solid buckets!

P.S. I am in no way affiliated with the products I have mentioned. I'm just really excited about them. :)

For those of you within range, talk to Beth (BHep) about Seramas. She's got some beauties! She's in Faison, which would be far more feasible from someone in Sanford than western Carolina.
