I’m in Alamance Co just a few miles north of Chatham Co line. Welcome! I love this site.
For bedding, I use pine shavings and more or less use deep litter method.

+1 we are on the Lee/Chatham county line, pine shavings and deep litter for us too!

It will be a great place to retire to. Not so great having to drive all the way to Durham every day. I couldn't ever see living in Durham though unless it was out of the city.

Any of the N.C. peeps need some sweet Cochin cockerels? They are my first grand-chicks that I hatched and I simply can’t keep them all.
