Hi, we are moving to Pfafftown, NC in the next month or so. Would love to connect with like minded people so I can learn the ins and outs of the area.

We have chickens, no roos, 1 peahen, a duck, a dog, a fish, (and 2 potbelly pigs that live in the house and are spoiled rotten).

Can anyone fill me in on what I am to expect? I am so excited... moving from the Philadelphia area...

You may be waiting for awhile (though if Pffafftown is in the western part of the state you're good). We're meant to have higher than average temps for most of October. Maybe I'll sweat enough that I flood the mosquitos off of me.

Im in wake county atm been here since I was an infant. My parents and siblings moved down here 14 years ago

Despite the time I've lived here I still think it's nice cool weather all year. I lived 17 years in South East Florida growing up. The mosquitos there have alligator mouths and shooting them just irritates them.

Waynesville out west! Curious what breeds if f egg layers will do well here? im not very high in the mountains only about 2800ft or so.
