North Carolina

Looking for Japanese Bantam breeders (preferably those bred to the SOP)! I'm in North Carolina but am open to shipping. Looking for chicks and hatching eggs but would consider older or adult birds. Let me know what you have! :)

I also breed Japanese Bantams. I have black, white, barred, blue barred, black tailed white, birchen (silver/black/splash), and mottled. Currently working on a blue and blue mottled project.

Just found this thread! Hi NC, how are you loving this heat? 😓

Hand me the soap, someone's mouth needs to be washed out!

Fuzzi - I think it's gone up a bit! This is yesterday eve @ 7:33 pm. It reflects the index heat, as hubs changed the setting. But pretty sure 124° is the highest yet, LOL.

I am ready for the extremes to stop!

I'll probably have a couple bantam Speckled Sussex cockerels to rehome in the next month or so. They're only 4 weeks, but when I rehome them depends upon how well they behave around their daddy...

Let me know if you're interested. I'm in eastern NC, Pitt County.

Fuzzi - you seem to end up w/ lots of cockerels.

Are there lines that produce a few more pullets? Just curious.

Where did you find your bantam Dominiques?
I'm not aware of lines that produce more pullets. I bought my first bunch straight run, they were 7/3. Five eggs hatched by my broody were all male, 5/0. Next bunch was 3/3, current hatch appears to be 3/2.

The Dominiques I bought from Cackle, sexed. Of six "female" chicks 2 were male, I got a refund.
